Tuberville to SecDef: “ We cannot allow our military to be politicized ” – “ Purge the department of extremism ” – Yellowhammer News
As President Biden prepares this week to sign a number of sweeping and unconstitutional gun control executive orders and announces his appointment of an anti-gun activist hired to head the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and guns, now is a good time to reflect on the past and ongoing efforts that Republicans at Alabama House have undertaken to protect the Second Amendment freedoms of the citizens of our state.
This week alone, we passed a law passed in the House by State Representative Proncey Robertson (R-Mount Hope) that allows Alabamians to acquire lifetime licenses to conceal / carry firearms, which avoids the hassle and inconvenience of having to go to the local sheriff’s office. and reapply whenever a current license expires.
The bill also allows law enforcement officers to better protect our families by providing tools to identify convicted felons and others who had to give up their gun rights after judges ruled. that they posed a danger to the public.
Another bill currently before the House is the “Alabama Firearms Protection Act,” which is sponsored by State Representative Shane Stringer (R-Mobile) and seeks to protect Alabamians in state or local government enforcement of federal firearms laws.
