The MIB officially recognizes the self-regulatory body of the NBF, Marketing & Advertising News, AND BrandEquity

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has officially recognized the self-regulatory body of the News Broadcasters Federation (NBF). In a press release, the NBF said that the granting of official status by the MIB to the NBF makes the body the only institution of its kind in the whole country to obtain accreditation from the Indian government.

“The emergence of the self-regulatory body of the NBF as the only body to meet all the criteria for obtaining validation from the Indian Union and to be the only recognized body regulating the news media sector to date once again reiterates the commitment of the largest information distributors. body with the fundamental principles of transparency, accountability and strong self-regulation, ”he said.

With the recognition of the NBF’s Professional News Broadcasters Standards Authority (‘PNBSA’) by the Indian government, the organization stands ready to build a strong system with the highest standards of transparency and accountability, and which has created a Unparalleled media precedent for self-regulation, the NBF said.

At present, PNBSA is the only body in the country to have successfully demonstrated compliance with national standards in the field of news media. As the only accredited self-regulatory body for news media, PNBSA has come under rigorous scrutiny, he said.

“The NBF has already established itself as a mainstay for news media organizations which have chosen to be members of the body and made it the largest group of news broadcasters in India,” he said. -he declares.

Receiving the accreditation, NBF President Arnab Goswami said: “I want to thank all the members of the NBF governing body who have worked with me to make this happen. The media have a central role to play in strengthening our democracy and making it even higher. Strengthening the framework for media self-regulation is a big step in this direction. And that’s exactly what the FNB has been working on 24 hours a day. ”

“We look forward to working with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to further strengthen the self-regulation of our media,” he said.

NBF General Secretary R Jai Krishna said: “We are privileged to be the first officially recognized self-regulatory body to be registered for television news broadcasters. We are grateful to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and our members for their trust and faith.

“We ensure that the dissemination of information in the country takes major steps with our democratic structure, the excellence of self-regulation and the dissemination of truth and reflections at the gates of the country in as many languages ​​as possible”, did he declare.

PNBSA was officially registered as a self-regulatory body under new changes to the Cable TV Network Act.

NBF channels currently include 24News, Alamai Sahara, IND 24, India News Gujarat, India News Haryana, India News Hindi, India News MPCG, India News Punjabi, India News Rajasthan, Republic Bangla, Republic Bharat, Republic TV, Sahara Samay, Samay Bihar, Sahara Samay, Samay Bihar, Samay Maharashtra, Samay Rajasthan, Samay UP, TV5 Kannada, TV5 Telugu, among others.
