PIC Group Wins O&M Support Services Agreement for New Nigeria Refinery

ATLANTA – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – Having operated and maintained assets, deployed and trained workforce in remote locations around the world and drawing on years of experience in Nigeria, PIC Group has entered into a service agreement of 5 years with Azikel Petroleum Ltd. for the new Azikel refinery. will be located in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Under the terms of the agreement, the PIC Group will provide operations and maintenance (O&M) support services, including integrated site-specific operations and maintenance procedures, a systematic approach to training as well as operational support in the form of supervision and mentoring of refinery staff by specialists from the PIC Group. PIC Group’s in-depth and sustainable qualification programs, combined with a holistic approach to organizational development, will enable the new Azikel refinery to move efficiently from commissioning and start-up to full operation and will facilitate the location of personnel for the new 12,000 bpd hydroskimming refinery.

“The PIC Group’s O&M experience, its approach to site-specific qualification programs, and precise site-specific procedural documentation, create a cohesive knowledge base for the Azikel refinery to improve efficiency and ‘Ensuring reliable, consistent and safe operation,’ said Ian Anderson, Managing Director and VP Refinery at Azikel Petroleum.
