The bags must be filled with non-perishable food and all the food collected goes to feed the less fortunate by Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in Ellsworth.
Friday, September 23rd between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. drop off your bag of food at Le Grand and each bag is placed on a seat. Therefore, fill in the Grand.
There are 730 seats in the Grand Theatre, so they need a lot of help.
If you want to make a monetary donation, it is actually more cost effective, as Loaves & Fishes can purchase the food needed from its suppliers at a more competitive price. So every dollar you donate is stretched further.
Imagine the enormity of the Grand Auditorium on Main Street in downtown Ellsworth filled with much needed food.
A very clever way to draw attention to the need for help of so many people in Hancock County, and also to encourage more members of the community to step up and contribute to the goal.
